Sensory Research Manager

Arlene holds both a Bachelor and Master’s degree in Consumer Science from the University of Guelph. She gained 10 years of experience in Food Product Development and Sensory Evaluation in the food industry and in university research in addition to her 13 years in consumer and sensory research with ACCE. Arlene has a strong understanding of the elements leading to successful product development from both the consumer and scientific points of view. Her expertise in balancing taste requirements with cost constraints has resulted in brand name products reaching the shelves and enjoying continued popularity.

Arlene has a keen interest in people and has helped implement and maintain descriptive sensory panels for a variety of products both nationally and internationally.
